England vs Argentina Autumn Internationals
England have started their next phase towards the 2019 Official Rugby World Cup with a 21-8 win over Argentina at Twickenham on Saturday
England’s opening Autumn International ended in the victory, as all of Twickenham expected, but the route to the result was truly unspectacular.
Argentina missed three penalties and a conversion and didn’t offer much attack, scoring these penalties would have tested England further. England were always favorite to win this game but when Argentina went down to 14 men, England scored their first try.
They led 14-3 at the break with a try by Nathan Hughes (number eight), Semesa Rokoduguni added a second after 67 minutes.
The game lacked energy as neither team was able to play with pace or pull together any real phases, both sides making far too many mistakes.
England will face Australia at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 18th November during the Old Mutual Wealth Series. They beat Australia four times during their 2016 campaign.
Mako Vunipola has warned England that they will be torn apart by Australia at Twickenham unless Eddie Jones side improves drastically.
