Lewis Hamilton wins fourth world title

Lewis Hamilton secured his 4th world title at the Mexican Grand Prix although he finished only ninth, due to a crash with rival Sebastian Vettel.

The British driver’s achievement makes him certainly the most accomplished British Formula 1 driver in history.

Hamilton suffered a puncture when he was hit by the German’s Ferrari on the first lap, while Vettel stopped for repairs to his Ferrari’s broken front wing, Hamilton then asked, “Did he hit me deliberately?” While his engineer wasn’t sure. In the end the stewards overlooked the clash and decided against taking any further action.

It certainly wasn’t the race Hamilton had in mind – it being his lowest finish since 2013- but as Sebastian Vettel failed to grasp victory, It served Hamilton his fourth world title.

I had the pleasure of watching this happen as we had 30 of WMG`s hospitality clients at the Mexican Grand Prix 2017

Really looking forward to the Grand Prix in Sao Paulo to host our key executives in Brazil
