SCOTLAND 53 – AUSTRALIA 24
I thought I drew the short straw when WMG needed to cover 2 events on the weekend, firstly we had clients attending our hospitality, Scotland v Australia in the Autumn Internationals at Murrayfield and secondly we had Hospitality for our key clients at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Yep I got the Job of heading to Edinburgh to host the game, after a great day at Twickenham the previous weekend to watch England v Australia (only 30 minutes from my house) I was feeling slightly fatigued after a long week in the office when I was boarding the train.
The atmosphere at Murrayfield when I arrived on Saturday was one I don’t think I will forget for some time but the actually game itself is one I defiantly wont forget. We started with a fabulous Scottish lunch and headed to our block seats between the 22 year lines to with our clients who were all in very high spirts.
What happened next was history with Scotland beating the Wallabies by the biggest margin of all time. Gregor Townsends boys scored a impressive 8 tries and turned up with a mentality that blew the Aussies away.
Byron McGuiness was called up with only 10 minutes left before kick off and would go on to play a incredible game and most certainly warrant man of the match.
Hamish Watson, Captain John Barclay and Stuart Mcinally were just amazing to watch.
To say the atmosphere was like no other rugby game I have experienced is a under statement it was just fantastic.
The Hospitality at Murrayfield was 2nd to none with fabulous guest speakers and all WMG`s clients had a memorable day and great return of investment with this hospitality and that was what it was all about
“ But I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more “ is a song that will stick in my mind for a very long time “
